Six Sigma Coaching & Training
Maple Leaf Foods makes a significant investment in all our leaders and Six Sigma is no exception.
We put the tools in the hands of our employees
Black Belts new to Maple Leaf attend an extensive Black Belt training program. This training provides the basic foundation of the Six Sigma history, philosophy, methodology, tools, case examples and other topics at Maple Leaf Foods to set them up for success in their new roles.
Six Sigma training is not limited to the Six Sigma community. Becoming a Six Sigma organization involves putting Six Sigma tools and concepts into the hands of every single employee across the company. To achieve this, we have created an extensive training portfolio consisting of in-house courses and workshops developed and delivered by our trainers.
The real learning occurs by doing
While training and education are important, the best way to learn about Six Sigma is to apply the tools and concepts on the job or in a project. To support our Black Belts through this learning process, Maple Leaf has a formal coaching program where Black Belts receive specialized, real-time, one-on-one coaching from a team of in-house experts as they apply the methodology and tools to their project work. This coaching model also extends to the rest of the business where Black Belts provide one-on-one coaching to individuals and workgroups participating in our Green Belt program.
