Slices DEMPSTER’S® White or Whole Wheat Bread
2 tbsp (30mL) 
Olive oil
2 cups (500mL) 
Loosely packed salad greens
1 cup (250mL) 
Cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup (250mL) 
Chopped cucumber
¼ cup (50mL) 
Crumbled Feta cheese
4 tbsp (60mL) 
MAPLE LEAF® Ready Crisp® Fully-Cooked Bacon Pieces
¼ cup (50mL) 
Vinaigrette salad dressing*

PREHEAT grill to medium-high.

BRUSH bread slices lightly with olive oil on both sides.

GRILL bread on both sides, about 1 to 2 minutes per side. Cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes.

TOSS bread with salad greens, tomatoes, cucumber, Feta, bacon and dressing. Serve immediately.

TIP: Add 2 cups (500 mL) leftover cooked chicken for a complete meal. *To make a simple vinaigrette dressing, whisk together 2 tbsp (30 mL) white wine vinegar, 2 tsp (10 mL) maple syrup, ¼ cup (50 mL) extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.
