2 tbsp (30mL) 
Grated carrot
2 tbsp (30mL) 
Grated cucumber
¼ cup (50mL) 
Light spreadable cream cheese
Slices NATURAL SELECTIONS™ Black Forest Ham or Baked Ham
Slices DEMPSTER’S®/POM®/BEN'S® Smart Bread, crusts removed


Directions
COMBINE carrot and cucumber with cream cheese.

SPREAD cream cheese mixture over bread slices and top with ham (fold ham in half if the pieces are larger than bread).

ROLL up bread, pressing gently to secure and slice each into 3 pieces.

TIPS: Don’t waste the crusts! Freeze them and pulse in a processor to use whenever a recipe calls for breadcrumbs.

TIPS: To secure the rolls, roll them tightly in plastic wrap or waxed paper and refrigerate until ready to use.

VARIATION: Hawaiian: Omit carrots and cucumber and add 2 tbsp (30 mL) chopped, well drained pineapple and 2 tbsp (30 mL) finely chopped red or green bell pepper to the cream cheese.
