Ryan Walker
Senior Vice President, Poultry
Ryan Walker is Senior Vice President, Poultry at Maple Leaf Foods. He is responsible for leading Maple Leaf Foods’ value-added poultry markets.
As a seasoned leader with around two decades in the organization, he has held vital leadership roles, including launching the company’s flagship prepared meats plant, “Heritage” in Hamilton, Ontario, and leading the Company’s national poultry supply chain and operations.
In March 2019, Ryan was named Vice President, Strategy for Greenleaf Foods, overseeing the expansion of operations and supply chain for the U.S. business, including successfully bringing the new Tempeh plant to completion on time and under budget. In April 2022, he was named Vice President and General Manager, Specialty Meats, where he integrated and managed the recently acquired Viau organization. In October 2024, Ryan returned to the Poultry business and assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Poultry.
Ryan joined Maple Leaf Foods through the Leadership Track Graduate Program and since then has progressed through a variety of roles in plant leadership, supply chain, strategy, and general management. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Management from McMaster University.
