Maple Leaf Foods was excited and honoured to be recognized on two of Forbes’ employer ranking lists. This is especially meaningful as in the past year, we have all been challenged and stretched in so many ways. We know that it is our people – their hard work, dedication, passion – that make Maple Leaf Foods a great place to work.
Finding ourselves on these lists is also very humbling because we all know there’s still a lot of work to be done. Building a company culture that your employees can be proud of is a never-ending journey.
Forbes List: World’s Best Employers
The first of Forbes lists that we were excited to land on was the World’s Best Employers list, released in October. This list was based on a survey of 150,000 employees from 58 countries who were asked to score their employer in various areas, such as talent development, gender equality, social responsibility and their willingness to recommend their own employer to friends and family. This list is made up of 750 companies that received the highest scores.
Forbes List: World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies
We are very proud to have been named on the inaugural ranking of the World’s Top Female-Friendly Companies. This list was created to identify companies that support women inside and outside of the workplace. We are proud to be among them.
The list was based on a survey of 85,000 women in 40 countries who were asked to score their employer in various areas, such as pay equity and parental leave.
Forbes compiled both these lists with the market research company, Statista. The goal was to showcase top employers from around the world.
